NEW COURSES ADDED
WACE AND ATAR NEWS
Recent changes to the WACE mean, students completing Year 12 in 2021 will be able to achieve a WACE through completion of:
A VET Certificate II or higher as part of their program of study; or the new option of five Year 12 General courses, and /or ATAR courses four or more Year 12 ATAR courses.
Numbers in 2018
Over 28,000 secondary students enrolled in a VET program, of which the majority are Year 11 and 12 students
To ensure students receive quality training, from quality providers, with clear pathways post-school
73% of VET delivered to secondary students was through an auspice agreement;
84% of auspice agreements were with private RTOs.
Students currently completing Year 12, can achieve a WACE through completion of:
four ATAR courses; or
a VET Certificate II or higher as part of their program of study.
Year 11 and 12 Public School Students
Over 77% of Year 11 and 12 public schools students were participating in VET programs delivered as part of their school program

The Australian Performing Arts Network have been working extremely hard at an online training and assessment strategy for online delivery and evidence collection of the CUA20113 - Certificate II in Dance. This new method of delivery expands the accessability to those who could not participate previously
