The Australian Performing Arts Network is a current member of the department of education preferred provider panel.



Recent changes to the WACE mean, students completing Year 12 in 2021 will be able to achieve a WACE through completion of:​

A VET Certificate II or higher as part of their program of study; or the new option of five Year 12 General courses, and /or ATAR courses four or more Year 12 ATAR courses.

Numbers  in 2018 

Over 28,000 secondary students enrolled in a VET program, of which the majority are Year 11 and 12 students

To ensure students receive quality training, from quality providers, with clear pathways post-school

In 2018:

  • 73%  of  VET  delivered  to  secondary         students  was through an auspice agreement; 

  • 84% of auspice agreements were with private RTOs.

  • Students currently completing Year 12, can achieve a WACE through completion of:

    • four ATAR courses; or

    • a VET Certificate II or higher as part of their program of study.

Year 11 and 12 Public School Students 

Over 77% of Year 11 and 12 public schools students were participating in VET programs delivered as part of their school program
